I am a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Mechanical and Civil Engineering at Caltech and I am honored to have received the 2020 Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship. My research interests include: 1) elucidating the connection between the structure and properties of hierarchical biological materials to gain a deep understanding of how nature maximizes functionality through structural adaptations, and 2) designing the next generation of sustainable and multifunctional materials through self-replicate organisms for engineering applications.
